Dish Name: Masala Idli
Brief Description: A simple yet impressive idli recipe made using udid daal, idli rava, some veggies and green chutney. They are tasty, healthy, filling and easy to make and a perfect breakfast food for Fitness freak!
List of Ingredients:
1. Udad daal and Idli rava (2:1 quantity)
2. Onion -one chopped
3. Tomato -one chopped
4. Curry leaves -few
5. Ginger -piece
6. Green Peas -half bowl
7. Rai, Hing, Cumin seeds for tadka
8. Coconut few pieces, Coriander few, Chilli for chutney
9. Salt
10. Oil
Step by step preparation:
1. First grind udid daal and idli rava in mixer into thick consistency.
2. In an iron kadhai take some oil. Add rai, hing a pinch, cumin seeds in it and stir well.
3. Grate the ginger and add curry leaves and ginger into the kadhai.
4. Add onion and salt into it. Then add tomatoes, green peas in it.
5. Once the vegetables are cooked add them into the idli batter. Mix thoroughly.
6. Add ½ tsp of ENO in the batter to ferment. Grease the plate with oil and pour the batter into plates.
