Dish Name: Masala Bhath
Brief Description: It is a famous maharashtrian main course dish. Served hot with Kadhi. I am preparing it with left-over Aalu-gobhi and matar ka saag along with last night’s rice. Also, it serves as a full meal.
List of Ingredients: Leftover rice (2 bowls) and Leftover Gobhi ki sabzi (1 bowl), Oil (1 tablespoon), Mustard seeds (half teaspoon), Cumin seeds (half teaspoon), Grated Ginger (1 teaspoon), Curry leaves (7-8), Turmeric powder (half teaspoon), Chilli powder (half teaspoon) and Salt to taste.
Preparation and cooking time: 8 minutes
Step by step preparation:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a Kadhai.
2. Put Mustard seeds and Cumin seeds in it.
3. Once Mustard and Cumin seeds have popped, add ginger and curry leaves and saute.
4. Then add turmeric powder and salt to taste to the cooked rice and mix properly.
5. Add rice to Kadhai and saute. Cook it for 2 mins and add chilli powder and mix.
6. Now add left over Gobhi ki sabzi and mix everything.
7. Cover and cook it for 2 minutes and serve.
