Dish Name: Kolhapuri Chicken Masala
Brief Description: It is one of the famous Kolhapuri Chicken Masala Dish. While making this dish, We also prepare Kolhapuri Chicken Soup, Kolhapuri Chicken Curry, Kolhapuri chicken rassa (Tambda Rassa and White rassa) and Kolhapuri Chicken Biryani also.
Kolhapuri Chicken Masala will be prepared using minimum ingredients and it require less time also (20-25min). This dish is useful for anybody from child to elder person in our family because it contains high protein and nutritions.
List of Ingredients:
1. 250gm fresh chicken,
2. 1/2 bowl coconut cut,
3. 7-8 garlic pieces
4.Two inch ginger,
5.Half bowl coriander cut,
6.1/4 bowl white sesame seed ,
7.One big onion,
8.1/2 bowl oil,
9.Two table spoon Kolhapuri home made mirchi powder(Kolhapuri Chatani),
10.One teaspoon turmeric powder,
11.One tablespoon Kashmiri mirchi powder(Kolhapuri bukka) ,
12.Salt as your tasteful need,
13.Medium size tomato.
Step by step preparation:
1.Initially clean the chicken properly.
2.Cut the onion,tomato,coconut and coriander . Then,Fry white sesame seed without using oil in different pot.
3.Take medium size pot including half bowl oil on gas and turn on the flame then pour cutting onion in hot oil.
4.Immediately, pour chicken in it and then one teaspoon turmeric powder and salt as tasteful need.
5.Close the pot for 2-3 min. by placing plate on it so that chicken inside take wet little.While this we made tomato paste using mixer.
6.Then remove lid from pot and insert tomato paste, one table spoon Kashmiri mirchi powder, Two table spoon Kolhapuri Chatani. Now mix all properly using big spoon and again place plate on the pot and keep as it is for short time.
7.Now, make paste of half bowl coconut cut,garlic pieces, ginger, coriander cut and white sesame seed. Mix this paste(wet masala) in chicken then pour one glass water in it. After putting plate on it, keep as it is for cooking upto 20-22 minutes.
8.Check proper cooking of chicken using your hand then this well prepared Kolhapuri chicken masala remove in single bowl and keep it in plate properly.
9.To decorate the our dish,keep circular onion slices, tomato slices, cutting lemon in plate properly also place coriander pieces on chicken masala bowl.
10.In this proper way, Kolhapuri Chicken Masala dish will be well prepared for eat within 20-25minutes. One thing I want to note here is that in our Kolhapur using chicken we prepare Kolhapuri Chicken curry (Sukka),Chicken soup for kids without mirchi powder (Kolhapuri aalni) and Kolhapuri tambda (red) pandhara (white) rassa which is very famous in our city.
